Walter Scott, Jr.

Honoring the visionaries...
Walter Scott, Jr. of Level 3 Communications, Inc. is a Distinguished Eagle Scout Award recipient.
He is also a key visionary in the creation of The Summit, where he and his wife Suzanne provided a $25 million donation, part of the $200 million initial monies for the project.
The gift has resulted in the Scott Scouting Valley, the central panoramic feature at SBR, and Scott Lodge (first permanent structure on the property.
Scott credits the lessons he learned in Scouting for much of his success, including the central tenet of goal setting. The BSA, more than anything else, he credits with building the strength of character that would allow him to lead others throughout his life.
