Gladiators & Roman Soldier statues exude power, and incredible detail in tabletop bronzes
First in a series, the “Dimachaeri Gladiator” is one of Tom White’s favorite bronze sculptures because of the dynamic power and strength portrayed… the intricacies of the weaponry… and the capture of movement, action and passion in this rare depiction of a gladiator with two swords know as the “Dimachaeri”
Tom created a battle worn Roman Centurion soldier in his series from ancient Roman times. Tom has plans to create several more in this statue series depicting them in many fight scenes with an array of the historical weapons. Tom specializes in warriors and soldiers from all eras including modern era war memorials and Medal of Honor statues, ancient Spartans and centurion soldiers, guardian sculptures, and other public military monumental commissions.
Depicted below are the two sworded gladiator known as “Dimachaeri Gladiator”; a “Roman Centurion Soldier” who is battled worn and tested with arrows all around and sword in hand; and “Murmillo Gladiator” with a battleax in his shield and short sword.
