"Christ Our Rock" Jesus Statue & Children, three 70 ft. Crosses at Davidson Prayer Garden in Gatesville, Texas

Christ Our Rock statues of Jesus and children and three crosses at Davidson Prayer Garden, Gatesville, Texas by world-class sculptor, Tom White. Located in prayer gardens, churches, schools and parks across the United States.

At the Coryell Community Church in Gatesville, Texas, the towering white 70-foot crosses and rugged bleached boulders create the dramatic prayer garden setting anchored by the life-size, monumental “Christ Our Rock” bronze Christ sculpture and a pair of Tom’s “Children” statues balance the natural setting of granite boulders. Dedicated Easter 2012.

“The prayer garden gets more beautiful as time goes by, and so many continue to be drawn there. It seems that almost every time I go there to work, I stop to pray with a stranger that has come there with a heavy heart. Our Lord’s anointing spirit abides there. We are so blessed!” — Lenora Sappington, one of the gardem designers (from email dated Sept. 6, 2012)

"Sami Swings" - Jesus Statue holds Sami

Tugging at the heart of every parent is the love of one’s child. Losing a child is devastating, and Christ’s welcoming arms provide solace for a parent’s void. That is part of the inspiration for Tom’s “Sami Swings.” It is dedicated to young Samantha Ann “Sami” McDonald, who is now secure eternally with her Lord.

In this memorial bronze Christ sculpture scene, Tom captures Sami’s spirit and the holding power of Jesus. The statues are placed at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky, beneath the gnarled branches of an ancient wingnut tree on Sami’s gravesite.

A smiling Jesus statue holds the ropes of three-year-old Sami. The words to her favorite song, “Jesus Loves Me,” are etched in the granite rock beneath her bare feet.

It’s the bronze sculpture scene her parents, Debi and Geoff McDonald, have treasured ever since Sami’s accidental drowning in 2006. This is how they saw her earlier that fateful day—swinging and singing, “Jesus loves me, this I know…”

Sami’s mom, Debi, started the ministry
“Sam’s Rock”
as an encouragement to parents who have lost their children and is a much sought-after speaker. Tom White specializes in tender and compassionate portrait bronze memorials.
