The Concept Commissions:

Tom was approached by a Client to create a custom gladiator bronze statue for him. The client wanted to take photos of the sculpture for a logo spot on his website for knives.

Thus, “Dimachaeri Gladiator” was the first in what became a series of Roman era statues. This sculpture flowed out of Tom and became one of his favorites. Because of the dynamic power and strength portrayed and the intricacies of the weaponry, the Dimachaeri gladiator appeals to those who love Roman hisstory. It is a rare depiction of a gladiator with two swords.

Next, Tom created a battle-worn Roman Centurion Soldier statue. Lastly, he created the Murmillo Gladiator at the request of our client.

Future Plans:

Plans are to create several more in this gladiator statue series. They will be depicted in many fight scenes with an array of historical battle weapons. As a commission sculptor, Tom has sculpted several warrior and soldier statues from all eras. There are many of his statues in modern day war memorials featuring Medal of Honor statues. and a Gold Star Mom.
