As a young apprentice carpenter, Tom learned the value of putting a hard day’s work from the craftsmen he met on jobsites all over Texas.  Tom was a carpenter from an early age and had a deep respect and affection for those men he met and who were willing to mentor a young man in the trades.

After finding his gift of art in his early ’30s, Tom wanted to create bronze sculptures of those tradesmen who were heroes to him both to reminisce and to capture in bronze those fond memories from that earlier time in his life.

Father-Daughter Hunting Elk

Bronze cowboy with pack mule statue

Father-Daughter hunting trip, desktop bronze sculpture

Tabletop bronze sculpture of Dad and Daughter bringing home the trophy

Tom White created this sculpture of a dad and daughter bringing home their trophy from a hunt on the back of a mule or donkey. Tom has enjoyed hunting deer with his youngest daughter, Mackenzie, so this sculpture was especially meaningful for him.

Both love hiking and hunting everything from moose, bear and turkey in Maine, to bison, javelina, elk, deer and mountain lion in Arizona and Colorado, to deer in Texas!  To him, there is nothing better than being in the great outdoors and, if you can do it with your kids, it’s even better!  Tom has hunted since he was a kid in West Texas and carried that on throughout his life.

Tom enjoys creating wildlife bronze sculptures in both desktop and life-size statues.  He is available to customize a sculpture for your ranch or home if you are interested in commissioning a sculpture.

This tabletop bronze is available for recasting as a gift for your favorite hunter or as a reminder of family hunting trips.…Tom & Marcey White

Rock music’s iconic group, The Grateful Dead, was known for its unique and eclectic style that fused elements of rock, bluegrass, reggae, improv jazz, and more.  As lead guitarist in a legendary rock group, Jerry Garcia naturally got a lot of attention.  It was his warm, charismatic personality, however, that earned him the affection of millions of “Deadheads”. When the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation undertook the project renovate the Bowl, it was a natural leap to want a monumental size of Jerry’s Hand placed in the new “Jerry Garcia Glen” at the site.  His death in August 1995, closed a 30-year chapter of Rock music by this iconic band.

The bronze “Jerry’s Hand” is available in 18″ or 8″ and in traditional or psychelic patina.

A memorial bronze sculpture of his right hand was commissioned by and placed at the Santa Barbara Bowl in the newly renovated “Jerry Garcia Glen” in November 2011.
