G. Brint & Amanda Ryan Family - the Daughters
The life-size statues of the Ryan girls depict them playing their musical instruments and are installed at one of the Ryan homes in Texas.
A Family Tribute in Texas
Tom White was contacted by Brint Ryan several years ago to create sculptures of his five daughters for their home in Texas. It was fun to create them all doing something they loved: Music. Tom created them in a semi-circle ensemble and barefooted.
When Brint and Amanda came for the final look of the life-size claysof their daughters before casting them, Amanda made the comment that she could tell which sculpture was which girl just by looking at the feet — Tom had truly captured every detail of face and form. The girls’ sculptures were placed at one of the Ryan’s Texas homes and will be recast for Reunion Park, which Brint is building in Big Springs, Texas, his boyhood hometown. Brint restored the historic Hotel Settles to its early glory and this park is adjacent to the hotel.

G Brint Ryan is the CEO/Founder of Ryan, LLC, a worldwide industry leader in tax recovery services based out of Dallas, Texas. Brint commissioned Tom to create sculptures of himself and his wife, Amanda, along with several family members to be placed in a new park, “Reunion Park,” that he is building next to the Settles Hotel.
In 2013, with a 30 million dollar renovation, Brint reopened the 1930’s Hotel Settles hotel in its former glory. Creating life-size portrait sculptures in bronze of Brint’s extended family has been an ongoing project for Tom as loving tributes to the Ryan family members for the Park. Ground was broken on the park in November 2021. The sculptures include brothers, a sister, parents, grandparents and the Ryan girls.
Tom also created a bas relief plaque of Mr. Ryan for the hotel lobby. He also has done another project for Brint as President of the Board of Regents of the University of North Texas – the Kelli Ann Cox Memorial Monumental Bronze.
