"Sower and the Soils"

Sower Statue Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. Depicts Jesus' parable of the Sower, monumental bronze sculpture created by sculptor, Tom White, for Franklin Graham

Sculpture scene of Jesus’s parable of the “Sower & the Soils” depicted in Mark 4:2-20. The sculpture depicts the parable, thus the crows, stony ground, thorns and thistles choking out the seed in this tabletop statue. The eight-foot monumental bronze sets at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Parable of the "Sower & the Soils" monumental bronze sculpture at the Billy Graham Library, Charlotte, NC

Tom White was honored to create an eight-foot bronze monumental sculpture scene of Jesus’ parable of the “Sower & the Soils”, depicted in Mark 4:2-20, which was dedicated for permanent placement at the Billy Graham Library in the Ruth’s Attic Bookstore, Charlotte, North Carolina on April 19, 2011.

Franklin Graham asked Tom to create a sculpture that would capture the ministry of sowing the seed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Tom wanted to capture both the Sower of the seeds and the condition of men’s hearts in response to the seed, as depicted in Christ’s parable — thus the crows, and stony ground, thorns and thistles choking out the seed, and the wheat (depicting the good harvest) on the base and at the feet of the Sower in this bronze monumental and tabletop statue.

Franklin and Dr. Graham considered it important that people understand that ANY man whose heart is submitted to God can be used, just as Dr. Billy Graham has been as a “Sower” of the Gospel all over the world.

It remains Tom’s hope that this sculpture will inspire men to become ‘fertile soil’ as they choose to receive the seed that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ… and that they go forth to spread that seed into the lives of others. (Mark 4:2-20).

“It was an honor and a joy to create the “Sower & the Soils” and especially to work with Franklin Graham and his stellar team of people whose hearts are devoted to spreading the Gospel.  Marcey and Tom were especially thankful to have met Dr. Billy Graham at the dedication.  It was especially a great joy to work with Donna Lee Toney, who has worked side-by-side with Franklin throughout the years of his ministry and who coordinated the Sower project.  She was the epitome of graciousness, professionalism and kindness throughout the process of creating and installing the Sower sculpture and has become a dear friend to Tom and Marcey. It is both an honor and a privilege to work with and to support the ministries of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse as they meet both the spiritual and physical need of hurting people around the globe.

"Christ Our Rock"

Christ Our Rock statues of Jesus and children and three crosses at Davidson Prayer Garden, Gatesville, Texas by world-class sculptor, Tom White. Located in prayer gardens, churches, schools and parks across the United States.

Christ Our Rock is an inspiring tabletop depicting our Lord on a rock outcropping, welcoming those around Him to seek forgiveness of sins and eternal life.  The intricate, artistic detail is woven in the folds of garment, outstretched arms, and embracing posture — making this 24-inch tabletop an inspirational centerpiece.

— 2 Samuel 22:2-4 And David said,  "The Lord is  my rock...

Size: 20”×20”×15” … Open Edition

“…and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge. My shield, and the horn of my salvation.  My stronghold and my refuge.  My savior, you save me from violence.
“I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”

Numerous references in both Old and New Testaments refer to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the “rock of our salvation.”  Tom created the life-size bronze statue of Jesus seated on a rock outcropping, welcoming those around him to freely come to him for forgiveness of sins and eternal life…
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” – John 3:16

He is our rock and still welcomes all people today to come freely to Him to accept gift of salvation through the sacrifice of His blood on the Cross of Calvary…

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

The life-size sculpture is available for use at churches, schools and prayer garden scenes, with or without other adult and children sculptures of Tom’s for a customized setting.  The 20-inch bronze tabletop makes an inspirational gift for pastors, mentors or family members.

The Story of the Prodigal Son and a Father's Redeeming Love — Luke 15:11-31

Size: 16”×6”×7”

He stood at the edge of seeing distance – him a beggar, stinking of pigs, ready to ask for a servant’s place.  The thought of walking back home made his stomach turn flips.  Taking a breathe, he took the first heavy step, steeling himself for the encounter, hearing in his mind the voices shouting, “I told you so.”
Suddenly, in the distance he saw someone.  “Is it?  It couldn’t be.  Impossible.  What is he doing? … He is running!  To me?”  In an instant he knew.
Instead of “I told you so,” “I love you.”
Instead of “You are not welcome here,” he would hear “Welcome home.”
Instead of “Servant” he would hear, “Son!”
Tom has powerfully captured the joy in the Father’s face and the energy in his sprint to welcome home the Prodigal Son.  He had been waiting for the one who was considered dead, but was now alive again.
Remind yourself of how He welcomed you.  Tell the world of your Father’s love with this moving Biblical bronze sculpture, which is a stunning piece of Biblical Christian art.  The Father’s steadfast, unconditional love is emoted through the features of this father’s face.

Christian Artist and bronze sculptor, Tom White, captures the essence of the story as well as the anguish, pain, anxieties and faith depicted in the details of this inspiring religious statute: “Jacob Wrestling the Angel”

As a prince, thou (hast) power with God and with men, and thou has prevailed — Genesis 32:24-28

“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go; for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? and he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel; for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.”

The classic story of man’s struggle with God and the blessing of perseverance and long-suffering from God toward man is depicted in this dynamic Biblical tabletop bronze sculpture.

“I won’t let you go unless you bless me…”

"I am with thee according to thine heart" — 1 Samuel 14:6,7

Size: 8”×7”×6”

“And Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor,
’Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: It may be that the Lord will work for us; for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.’
“And his armor-bearer said unto him,
’Do all that is in thine heart: Turn thee; Behold I am with thee according to thine heart.'”

Unwavering loyalty and devotion … this is the story of true friendship … a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.  The armor bearer would not leave Jonathan’s side, even in the face of unthinkable odds in a battle in which they were woefully outnumbered.  The Lord God gave them victory as a reward for such magnificent faith.
