Native American Bronze Statues
This trilogy of Native American indian statues was the first line of sculptures created by Tom White. When he first tried his hand at sculpting, “Edgewalker” was the first subject he created. Tom discovered he had a gift for capturing faces in bronze. He went on to sculpt “Stone Eagle” who is the grandfather in the series. And then Leaping Otter who is the teenage son in the trilogy.
It turns out that Tom is a master storyteller in bronze. Being from West Texas, he thought he would become a Western artist. However, he was later challenged to do a portrait and found that it came easily to him. His path was set at that point. From being able to capture the face and form of a person, but the spirit and emotions inside.
