I did a quick sketch and later shared it with my husband, Tom. He created this beautiful sculpture for me of the concept I had in mind. This depicts the fact that a stubborn, stony heart can only be broken wide open by the power of the Gospel which is Jesus’ death and resurrection on the Cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of mankind.
No heart is too far gone that the Lord can’t save them, but it takes the resurrection power of Christ, through the Holy Spirit, working in an individual’s heart to call them to repentance. I dedicate this design to all the Moms and Dads out there who spend their lives on their knees asking the Lord to intervene in their children’s lives and to save them and bring them back with a joyful, soft and tender heart.
Never stop praying for your prodigals … Jesus says in Luke 18:1 “…they ought always to pray and not lose heart.”
